Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport – Transfer to Kampala Capital City

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative and safari guide who will transfer you to the hotel reserved for you in Kampala. The 9 days safari briefings will be done right before dinner at the hotel where you will be spending the night. The next early morning begins the adventure safari you have all been preparing for.
NB, If time allows after relaxation and briefings about your safari you will do evening Kampala city tour to explore the historical places of Uganda such as Kabaka’s palace and Amin torture chambers, Namugongo martyr’s shrines, Uganda National Museum, Kasubi tombs (the burial ground for the Buganda Kings one of the UNESCO’S recognized site).

Day 2: Kampala City - Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening Nature Walk

After breakfast, our safari driver guide will pick you from your hotel at 0600 hrs and drive south-west via Masaka and Mbarara to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take approximately 5-6 hours. As you drive along the way enjoy the scenery and see Ugandan’s way of life in their traditional homesteads and farms. Have lunch from Igongo cultural centre, continue with the drive to check-in at your reserved accommodation lodge and later go for an evening nature walk to the beautiful crater lakes of the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Chimpanzee tracking – Afternoon Boat Cruising on Kazinga Channel –Evening game drive

After breakfast, go for a morning guided chimpanzee tracking through the tropical forest of Kalinzu to spend a half-day while tracking chimpanzee, bird viewing. Have a short break for lunch and then go for 2 hours afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, which joins Lake Edward and George, it offers a great chance to take memorable photos since the boat drifts slowly just by the shores of the channel. The Channel supports the biggest number of Hippos in the whole of Africa and Crocodiles also during the afternoon boat ride, you can spot large herds of Elephants, Buffaloes. Large numbers of antelopes like Waterbucks as they come here to quench their thirst. It is also a paradise to the bird lovers. Later go to Kasenyi track for an evening game drive the mating ground for the Uganda Kobs and a hunting ground for the big predators and if it is a lucky day you might find predators in action of hunting for their survival. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ishasha sector – Transfer to Bwindi Forest NP – Evening Community walk to explore the Bakiga people

Have breakfast and head out to Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is proudly known for harbouring tree climbing lions that are mainly found in the giant fig and acacia trees. After meeting face to face with these amazing trees climbing lions drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the well known as the Switzerland of Africa and the home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas, have lunch and later go for community encounter to support the orphanage families. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Bwindi Forest NP - Morning Gorilla trekking –Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Evening canoeing

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and depart for the morning pre-trek Gorilla briefings at the park Headquarters. Later go for your long time awaited activity “Gorilla trekking” the time taken while trekking is not known but it is expected to be between2-8 hours depending on the movement of the Gorilla family you are allocated to. During the trek expect to discover other primates such as Chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkey, vervet monkey, and many others.

On encounter, spend an hour of exhilarating moments with these gentle giants. Return to the lodge for a shower, lunch. Then leave the home of red-eyed giants and drive to Lake Bunyonyi where over 200 bird species have been recorded. “Bunyonyi” actually means “the place of many little birds” Lake Bunyonyi is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming and canoeing.

Day 6: Drive to Kampala with en-route stop at Igongo cultural center and Kayabwe Equator crossing point

This day after morning breakfast check out and drive to Kampala on the way to Kampala the drive will take you through good landscapes of the western region of Uganda and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns while seeing Ugandan’s way of life in their traditional homesteads and farms you shall have an en-route stop at Igongo cultural centre a place with firsthand information about the Ankole Kingdom have lunch from here and make a museum tour the proceed with the drive to Kampala but before Kampala, you will have another stop at the Equator crossing centre (Kayabwe) for water experiment and photography moments since it is the best spot to take a memorial photo. After, continue with the journey to check-in at your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: En-route stop at, Mabira Forest and – Jinja town – Half day white water rafting

Start your day with breakfast and drive to Jinja for white water rafting but before Jinja along the way visit Mabira Rain forest reserve the only green tropical forest in the central region later continue with the drive to Jinja town to have lunch and then depart for a half-day afternoon white water rafting one of the most adventurous and thrilling activities which you must not miss on your tour after this tour return to the hotel for relaxation and dinner.

Day 8: Explore the source of river Nile – Sezibwa Falls – Drive to Entebbe international airport

Have breakfast and drive to explore Source of the Nile on a boat to the exact spot where the Nile waters start to flow to pour in the Mediterranean Sea, enjoy the ride further into Lake Victoria, enjoying the beautiful countryside. Later drive back to Kampala with an en-route tour to the spectacular Sezibwa Falls a cultural heritage site of the Buganda Kingdom that is rich with traditional folklore as shall be narrated by the site guide. Later in the afternoon have lunch and Transfer to Entebbe International Airport to meet your return flight.
